I What it is

Networking is geometry. Give your room a graph.

Every attendee at your event is trying to meet someone. The ones who succeed leave with new collaborators, new projects, new coffees scheduled. The rest hand out business cards into a void and go home with an email list they won't remember by Tuesday.

Orbit closes the gap. Each attendee gets a card. QR on the front, four-digit PIN on the back. A single scan turns two strangers into a connection in under two seconds. Multiply that by hundreds of people over five days and you don't have an event anymore. You have a network.

Point your phone at someone's card. No app, no login, no camera-permission dance. Their profile opens in the browser you already have.

One scan creates a bi-directional connection. They're on your list. You're on theirs. Both of you can add a private note nobody else ever sees.

Remember

Your connection list lives on your private dashboard all event. When the lights come down, you get a personal report: everyone you met, your notes, their links, their profiles.

III For your attendees

The best networking tool is the one they forget they're using.

They don't download anything. They don't make an account. They don't squint at a login screen while someone else's coffee gets cold. They scan. The card in their lanyard is the entire user interface.

And when they inevitably lose their cookie on day three, the four-digit PIN on the back of their card gets them straight back in. Designed for the venue wifi, the tired phone, and the person on their fourth espresso.

  • 01 Appless. Opens in whatever browser they already have. Nothing to install.
  • 02 Accountless. No username, no password, no Google sign-in dialog. Just a scan.
  • 03 Two-tap setup. First scan opens a one-screen registration. Name and PIN, done.
  • 04 PIN recovery. Lost your phone or cleared cookies? The PIN on the back of the card gets you straight back in.
  • 05 Private notes. Add a line about who you met, their project, the coffee they're drinking. You see it, nobody else does.
  • 06 Works on everything. Progressive HTML, no framework, no required JavaScript. The five-year-old Android in the back row keeps up.
IV For you

You run the event. You see the event.

Orbit's organiser dashboard is live from the moment the first card is scanned. Watch the network form edge by edge. See who's had twelve conversations and who's had none. Spot the quiet ones who want an introduction.

When the final session closes, export everything: the full connection graph, connection rate per hour, top connectors, under-connected attendees, peak rooms. Networking you can actually report on.
